Newdge ("we," "us") operates newdge.app, an AI-curated news feed. This policy explains what information we collect when you use it, why, and what choices you have. Questions go to hello@newdge.app.
Account information. Email address, password (handled by our authentication provider, never stored by us in plain form), and an optional display name.
Preferences. The topics and language you choose, and your device's timezone — detected automatically, used to personalize when your daily feed refreshes.
Product usage. Pages you visit, cards you read or bookmark, and general interaction data (clicks, scrolls) collected via analytics. On the web, this can include session recordings of how you use the app, used to find and fix usability problems — never sent to a human without a specific reason to investigate an issue.
Payment information. If you subscribe to Pro, our payment processor collects your card details directly — we never see or store your full card number. We do receive limited billing metadata (subscription status, renewal date, last four digits of your card, transaction history) to show you your own billing information and manage your subscription.
Support & email. If you email us, we keep that correspondence. If you're a Pro subscriber and opted in, we send a weekly digest email; every email includes an unsubscribe link.
Diagnostic data. When something breaks, we automatically collect error reports containing technical details (browser, device type, the page you were on) to help us fix the problem.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your reading history to show you ads — Newdge doesn't have any.
We use a small number of service providers to run Newdge. Each only receives what it needs to do its specific job:
We don't sell or rent this information to anyone else, and we only disclose it beyond this list if required by law.
The service providers listed above process data primarily in the United States. If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, this means your data is transferred outside your region for processing.
We use a small number of cookies: one to keep you signed in (required for the app to work), and analytics cookies that help us understand usage.
Your account and preferences are kept until you delete your account, which you can do yourself at any time from Settings — this immediately and permanently removes your data. The news cards themselves rotate out of the feed daily regardless of any individual account. Pro subscribers' History is limited to your last 90 days (or since you went Pro, if shorter).
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing. You can delete your own account and data directly from Settings at any time. For anything else, email hello@newdge.app.
Newdge isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
If we make a material change to this policy, we'll let you know — at minimum by updating the date at the top of this page.
